چکیده
Abstract Pervious concrete is a well-known type of characterized by its high porosity and permeability. It finds extensive use in road infrastructure, particularly pavement construction, offers cost-saving benefits due to the absence fine aggregates mixture. While curbs are still commonly built today, utilization pervious as substitute for rarely observed. Therefore, this study focuses on evaluating compressive strength, flexural suitability curb replacement. In investigation, different water cement ratios (0.30, 0.33, 0.35, 0.38, 0.40) were employed during mixing determine most optimal ratio achieve highest strength curb. To obtain results, tests conducted ten samples after curing period 28 days. The aimed examine diverse effects various ratios. findings indicate decrease stress increased. Furthermore, mix was significantly stronger at 0.30 but exhibited decline with higher Similar results obtained test, where recorded value strength. However, 0.40 yielded second-highest These emphasize that lower leads further enhance concrete, several recommendations proposed, including coating reinforcement bars, adjustment coarse aggregate size, addition admixtures

متن کاملFinite Element Evaluation of Pervious Concrete Pavement for Roadway Shoulders
Stormwater quantity control is an important issue that needs to be addressed in roadway and ancillary transportation facility design. Pervious concrete has provided an effective solution for storm runoff for parking lots, sidewalks, bike trails, and other applications. It should be readily adaptable for use on roadway shoulders. Being a relatively new material for use in pavement for roadways, ...
متن کاملMix Design Development for Pervious Concrete In Cold Weather Climates
Portland cement pervious concrete (PCPC) is increasingly being used in the United States in sidewalks and parking lots due to its benefits in reducing the amount of runoff water and improving water quality. In the United States, PCPC typically has high porosity and low strength, which has resulted in limited use of pervious concrete in hard wet freeze environments (i.e., the Midwest and Northea...

Portland Cement Pervious Concrete (PCPC) is becoming more utilized across the U.S. due to increased requirements for stormwater management. This paper details the experience of the installation of a PCPC test section/parking area in Sioux City, Iowa. In order to evaluate a large number of mixture designs, the test section incorporated five different mixtures, each placed with and without air en...
متن کاملThe Use of Seashell by-Products in Pervious Concrete Pavers
Pervious concrete is a green alternative to conventional pavements with minimal fine aggregate and a high void content. Pervious concrete allows water to infiltrate through the pavement, thereby reducing the runoff and the requirement for stormwater management systems. Seashell By-Products (SBP) are produced in an important quantity in France and are considered as waste. This work investigated ...
